Rooting shooting time!

This past weekend Darrell's sister Suzy came to let him try her pistols. They headed up to the neighbors to use their range to shoot off 300 rounds. Jess joined them. About 1/2 way through, Jess called to say she was heading down to babysit so I could head up and give it a whirl. I was less than excited but my hubby was really wanting me to do this so I tried.

My first shot was not so accurate and actually made me feel out of control with the gun. That did not sit okay in my brain as I know what can happen with a stray bullet. I handed the gun to Darrell and walked away to collect myself. Which I did after a few minutes and came back to fire 12 more shots all which hit the paper target and 11 hit on the black....that was enough for me then and I headed back home to kiddos while they finished shooting.

We Have A New Teenager!

Today, we have a new teenager at our house....Jason turned 13! He is sooo excited to be a teen! We love you Jason!

Afternoon Tea

The girls in out family were suppose to join the women in our church for a Ladies Tea this afternoon. I say we're because we ended up staying home because Darrell was sick through out the night.

We had prepared for our shared meal and tea last night so decided to have a family tea this afternoon with everyone! We set the table, got out the tea cups, made scones...yum! We also had dip and pretzel crackers, chocolate cake and truffles. It was super sweet and fun. Everyone got dressed up and were excited to come together where we shared some different 'tea' memories. It was lots of fun...and the good news? Darrell is feeling better!

Family Lunch

Yeah! We got everyone together for lunch today...a wonderful thing for this mom's heart! We don't get to see Michaela very often so it was good to see her with her siblings. Extra special to have dad home today and Jess home too! We found out just yesterday that we would have her today which is always a treat...we sat up last night chatting and knitting together...well ripping out a bunch of our knitting:).

We then stopped at Toys R Us to spend the kids gift card from Christmas...look at the goodies they found!

Today Harmony turns a big 3 years old! She is such a delight and was happy to ask anyone who called today to sing to her..."will you sing to me?" Was the question of the day!
