Benwinman --April

We started off with a chilly morning but ventured out to the Bennett's home for our monthly Benwinman event! The chill eventually burned off into a glorious sun shiny day! My children played games, played baseball, went swinging, played in the sand box, played tag, laughed and just ran their heads off...it was so good to see them enjoying the out doors and we are very grateful to Norm and Cindy to let us all invade their home...my kids are getting showered and ready for bed but are quite happy and tired from their day. They shared many happenings with dad at dinner and he was glad to hear of their adventures! Can't wait till next month!

It Is Official!

Spring has finally come to New Hampshire !

Our first HIKE of the season!

Dinner was in the crock pot, the bread was made and the beautiful outdoors were calling ...we headed off for our first little hike. The kids were so excited and the dog was happy to be included! We even found a few treasures like an old railroad spike, spotted a beaver dam and a muskrat, did some dreaming about a farm we pass all the time and what it would be like to live there....lots of fun and happy smiles...

Jess's Adventure

Jess headed out early for her weekly trip to MA to go to work...at 430 she called to say she was in an accident! She is okay but someone was traveling fast and hit a whole line of cars. I called Darrell and jumped into the car with the 7 kids at home with me and starting to drive to Peterborough. Many phone calls later we found she was in Keene not Peterborough.

We end up meeting at the Dublin fire station with the tow truck...Darrell met us there too. We transferred her things to Darrell's car and sent her on her way. We followed way behind the tow truck, stopped at a drive thru for dinner and continued to our auto body shop...yes we do have one and have used it a lot! We cleaned her car out among the broken glass and dents and headed home...praising The Lord that Jess is ok but thinking it is the end of the line for her work car.

But onto the fire station in Dublin...while waiting for Jess...we noticed a sign in the parking lot...Yankee publishing finds its home in Dublin! We were sitting in the adjacent parking lot...home to Yankee magazine and the original Farmers Almanac! We were very excited by our find and took a picture of the sign!

We just got home and Darrell's sister, Suzy contacted the police department to talk with the officer who responded to the call (she is a state trooper) and he said she is lucky to be alive....someone was taking care of her. Praise be to God!! We know who that someone was and are thanking him tonight with grateful hearts.

Brave Generation

Spending some time with Jess and Jason at the Brave Generation conference tonight in Boxboro, MA tonight. Justin Kendrick spoke on not loosing Hope because there is Hope! He quoted 1 Corinthians 10:12-14....the faithfulness of God is our title deed to Freedom...very intense and lots of youth went up for prayer...looking forward to tomorrow!

Jason said, "This night was made just for me!" It is so sweet to be in the presence of The Lord!

Happy Birthday Jessica!

Today...one of our beautiful girls turns 20 years old! As they say, it seems just like yesterday she was an itty bitty baby...well maybe not as she came into the world at 9 lbs 11 oz and the one Pediatrician thought the scale was broken because how could a 2 day old baby weigh in at that! But that is another story for another day...20 years later she is just beautiful!

Happy Birthday Jessica...you make our lives more exciting and we are blessed to have you in our lives!!!

Happy Easter!

Today was so very different than our usual Easter celebrations as we have a few kiddos who are sick. We stayed home another week from church and did our own teaching at home. We ordered out from the 99 for dinner as we had planned to go out to eat for dinner...it was wonderful to just relax as a family on this day! Any way there a few pictures of the kids at our very own Easter egg hunt which we have been doing since the older girls were little...enjoy!
