Deerfield Fair

I think it was the was the warmest Deerfield Fair we have ever experienced....temperatures hit 95 on Saturday. We still enjoyed our time there and the kids did well with their projects.

The cakes were a week old at this point and had melted in the hot temperatures but we just took a few pictures before we  brought them home.

Jess and Jason got first place for photography and the pumpkin painters all received blue ribbons as well.

Our school projects received 2nds and 3rds. They are already thinking about next years projects!

Visiting Photographer

Sabrina is visiting with us for a bit but has been taking beautiful pictures...sharing a few here with you.

Michael turns 13!

This past week we celebrated Michael's 13th birthday!

He is maturing and we are seeing such a difference in him....he got a wonderful camera for his birthday ..something he is interested in pursuing for a hobby!

Raymond Celebrates 250th

ThHow exciting it was to recently be involved with the celebration if our towns 250th celebration! Parades, speakers, pllaus, concerts and open houses were part of the busy 10 days or so that the town took to celebrate.  The town common looked beautiful for all the festivities and we learned lots about the history of the town folks and buildings that we come in contact every day.
The train station after it had been renovated for the occasion.
The Guiles school house.
Inside the guides school house.
A cannon shot off at the old tannery....great shot Jason!

Special Moment

In the past few months we have become very intentional in spending time together walking through the woods around our house is good for the body and soul.

This amazing picture was taken by a young girl spending time with our family. She was the first one to see this ...she has a great eye.

The previous day we meandered on another path which took us about 4 1/2 miles where we ended up at Dunkin Donuts for some much needed water bottles as it was extremely humid.

We have enjoyed our journey...the exercise, the companionship and the beautiful scenery.

When it counts.....

When it counts....

Who can you count on to step in?

                                                     Who will help?

Who will turn you in the right direction?

Give you advice from their own experience,

Turn you to scripture,  Get down on their knees and pray, and then when necessary---totally give the battle to The Lord?

Who is in your tribe?

In the past year, we have stood alone, wading through the muck, feeling isolated...some of those who The Lord sent stood to help pray that The Lord would build a tribe around that would pray on their knees, come and stand in the here to love, support, and stretch us...

We are starting to see that happening in a way --unexpected way...God has raised a tribe around us near and far...united hearts, helping hands, here when it counts.  Waiting to see how he will finish our tribe--in His perfect timing, in His perfect abundance...exactly what we need, when we need it.  Feeling grateful for His provision......

Vermont 1st Alpha--Alert Cadet

As quoted by Major Dagarin, Alert Cadet is about relationships...with our children, other families, and most important of all--with our Savior Jesus Christ!  Today was exciting to be a part of the commissioning of the first unit in Vermont.  What awaited us? New friends....friends that we made an immediate connection to....friends that we will see again...connections were made that only The Lord can set up. Feeling grateful tonight.
Major Dagarin doing his usual funny story and encouraging families.

Remeber those times when you were little and our families hung out camping at Moosehill lock is a shot of those same girls who have since grown up.  Makes my heart smile to see them together again...and they aren't so little anymore!
