Dad’s Big Day And Then There’s The Beach

Kids and grands gathered together for a family beach day!  We traveled to Wallis Sands and spent the day playing in the sand, swimming, looking for sea glass, building sand castles and just hanging out with one another!

                                   These 2 (Gabriela and Lexi) were tuckered out pretty quickly!

                    We ended the day by celebrating Darrell's birthday!  Such a fun family day!

 

                                                    

 

2 More Uncles Meet Gabby

Eli and Brandon get to meet up with their new neice.  It is such a blessing to love on our new littlest family member!  Team Gabriela!

 

Cadet Family Day

Our Cadet unit came together to have a family day!  Our sons spent time teaching moms and daughters some of the skills they have learned.  We even enlisted our pastor to try the river crossing after we bugged him and knocked on the door to his house next door with the offer.  He was a hoot and I give him an A+ for trying!

Archery, river crossing, volley ball and good food were all a part of our day!  It was so fun and I hope we all consider doing it again!
 

Service Project

Our church picnic area had not been used in quite awhile and it was in need of attention.  Our family took several evenings and one Saturday to clean up the picnic area as well as the obstacle course in the back.  It was tough work but fun to work together.

                 Love the team work that it took!  Everyone pitched in equally!  So fun to be together!

Eli Advances at Alert

It is so exciting to go to an Alert advancement.  The precision our sons learn in marching and doing tasks is exciting to see.  We had not seen Eli since he left and we are only allowed 2 phone calls.  It is a growing process for everyone in involved but it is a good thing too.

When our sons meet up with us, each one of them has clung to dad!  It is such a beautiful thing which I attribute to the work my husband does with each of them through the Alert Cadet program.  They have been going to camps and growing in leadership as well as bonds for a long time.  My husband is amazing at sowing into our sons.

          On stage, the presentation includes singing, reciting 1 Timothy and receiving awards.

 It is always an adventure traveling back and forth across the country.  Our children have benefited from the programs offered and we are always eager to join up with them!

 This annul trip is held either in Pennsylvania or New Hampshire.  It really challenges dad and sons to work together and try new skills.  I love the growth I see in our boys.
