Catching up

We just came off a long weekend where we visited family and took a mini vacation. We returned to a small disaster in our yard with trees and debris down. We are slowly setting to work and clean up. I will catch you up on our away time in the days to come.

Tonight we had the honor of hosting the at home Winslow family as their folks and Grace are in Bulgaria picking up the latest additions to the family. We had a spaghetti dinner followed by Bible study and singing. We were excited by having Elisha accompany us in the piano.

Wilderness Camp Wrap Up

Yesterday, we had the wrap-up for Wilderness Camp. Lots of singing and skits, Mike was in a puppet show, Kiara was in a dance. All of the kids tried their hands at archery and riflery. Even Harmony shot a 22! It was Joe's first time too. We saw lots of folks that we only see each year at camp and some we haven't seen for many years. We will cherish those visits despite having to cut out a bit early because of the little ones.

Junior Wilderness Camp

This year we only made it to 1 day of our favorite camp...Friday was fun and best of all it was filled with beautiful fun filled morning.

Summer Splendor

I like to think I am a gardener. At least in my head I am....I have grand plans for my home and gardens but sometimes I never seem to get the chance to work on them. This summer has been different. I can honestly say, the garden is getting weeded regularly. A huge step for us this year....and because the weeds haven't run over everything....the blooming has been beautiful.  Take a peek....

Sisters

The girls are doing VBS this week....they have matching dresses with shorts. They decided to wear them together today, and then asked for matching hair.  I added the matching ribbons....I use to do this for our older girls who also liked to do the same thing.

Happy Birthday!

Today was Michaela's 24th birthday. She had to work this morning and got to our town parade just as it was ending and starting to pour.

We headed home where we unveiled part of her birthday gift...a room make over since she had not really done anything in her room since moving on.

We then hung out chatting and playing games before lunch, cake and ice cream. We then oped the rest of the gifts.  It was a fun morning.
