Bright Light Night

Tonight Kiara and Louisa are out together as we kick off our Bright Light lessons together! We went to Ben Franklins and bought some material to make a bean bag and them ventured to Dunkin donuts for a treat and a lesson on being a Bright Light for the Lord. We followed it up by a trip to the Onway Lake boat launch where we often kayak. Kiara loved playing in the water! Special time together:). Love ya Kiara!

Friday Bowling with Dad

We got to try our summer bowling program with Dad. It was also a celebration for the end of school. The most difficult part was being beat by a 2 year old!

Celebrating 24 years together!

Today we are celebrating 24 wonderful years together...we both agree it seems as though it has been a blink of the eye time wise and we are looking forward to many more happy years together!

Family Campfire

The whole family came in to enjoy the campfire and share s'mores. Chelsea from next door joined us. Michael and Brandon were not feeling well...Brandon joined us for a bit-to stuff his mouth with marshmellows and Michael stayed inside...  Counting our many blessings tonight!

Jason and mom spent some time on the lake together in the kayaks. Oh what a beautiful day!

Bold steps

Did you ever try to put your finger on something to just miss the connection totally? Aren't we so glad that God doesn't miss a thing? This week we have been challenged on all sides but we serve an awesome God and know that He is in charge of everything. Knowing this is just what we need to remind ourselves to take bold steps in the Kingdom for His purposes...what are you doing today to walk boldy for Christ?

When we walk with Christ and look to Him in all thing we see He meets us right where we are and takes care of all the little details...this week as we remember what he has done for us challenge yourself to take a look around your world and see what you can do to change your world for Christ. 

Some times it makes you think...

Don't you ever think about something and it stops you in your tracks.  Something so profound and so little that you see everyday that it just stops you right there and then?  Somedays we find we stumble through our day and it seems everyone around us stumbles too but then something that was so insignifcant before stops you and you think a moment....and everything you were dealing with before becomes insignifcant and minor in the BIG picture of things.  I love it when the Lord does those things to us and it usually comes through serving someone else in the smallest way...sending a note, baking some goodies to share, a friendly smile and hello, a phone call just to say hello, a pat on the back or even an encouraging word.  Those things help us to reach out in small ways but often make a significant impact on someone elses day and there fore turns around our day too...today was one of those days and the inpact it made on my day just warms my heart.  Thanking the Lord for his blessing today for having me stop and think.........
